Where are you from?
I was born in London but now live in Worthing, West Sussex.

When did you qualify?
I qualified as a solicitor in December 1980.

What’s your background?
I went to Archbishop Tenysons Grammar school. Following A levels I worked for the Treasury Solicitor for 4 years in London then went to Manchester Poly where I obtained a degree in Law and French. After qualifying I spent the majority of my time practicing in either London or the Thames Valley where I was a partner in several leading firms. I have specialised in employment law since qualifying and am now a self employed freelance lawyer. I was listed as a leading lawyer in the 2017 Best Lawyer edition and will be in the next 2018 edition.

What made you become a Lawyer?
My 4 years experience with the Treasury Solicitor was a good introduction, and I was lucky to work with some brilliant colleagues who encouraged me to qualify.
